F-1 SEVIS Record Transfer Procedures
If you plan to transfer to Merrimack College from another U.S. based Student and Exchange Visitor Program
(SEVP)-certified school
, you may use this form to notify your current school of your intent to transfer.
It's very important to speak with your current school International Student Advisor or Designated School Official (DSO), who will update your record in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) as a "transfer out" and indicate your transfer to Merrimack with a transfer release date.
Your transfer release date will likely be the end of the current term or session, but you should verify this information with your current Advisor/DSO. Merrimack College's SEVIS Code is
BOS214F00027000
.
You will also need to provide your DSO at your transfer out school with a copy of your Merrimack admission letter, which you can access on your
admission portal
.
Please note that Merrimack College cannot issue you a new SEVIS Form I-20 until the transfer release date and pending submission of your passport,
Declaration of Finance Form
, and accompanying notarized bank letter.
Finally, if you decide to cancel your school transfer to Merrimack College, you must notify your current school advisor/DSO before your transfer release date; once the transfer release date has been reached, your current school will no longer have access to your SEVIS record.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact us by email at
iss@merrimack.edu
